Rural Provider Peer Review

The Rural Provider Peer Review Program was developed by the North Dakota Hospital Association (NDHA).  In order for hospitals to meet the State survey requirements, a peer review program must be in place.

This program was designed to help Critical Access Hospitals meet this survey requirement and complies with the hospital CoP requirements.

NDHA is working with Business Linx to assure these peer reviews are done anonymously and confidentially.

Peer review is a process by which a practitioner or a committee of peers evaluates the medical care rendered by another practitioner in order to assess the quality of health care delivered and to determine if acceptable standards of care have been met.

NDHA’s Rural Peer Review Program ensures that the reviews are conducted by practitioners who practice in a rural setting, have comparable levels of training, experience, and credentials, and are not located in the same market/geographic area.
