There are 1,176 new diagnoses codes for FY 2023, including three codes that were added in April 2022, 288 deletions including one deletion in April 2022, and 28 revisions. (HES)\nHartzell-Minzey actively develops systems and innovative programs for healthcare leaders and trainers. Her approach to ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS reflects her clinical knowledge and her knowledge of reimbursement methodologies. Hartzell-Minzey implemented one of the first DRG systems in the country and as part of the implementation educated 280 members of the medical staff, one-on-one. The same issues are relevant today in ICD-10. Hartzell-Minzey’s sessions not only provided the building blocks to transition to ICD-10 but also help to decrease Recovery Audit Contractor exposure.
