If your hospital is feeling the strain, mark your calendar for Wednesday, February 21 from 9:30 – 11:00 am CT when NDHA and the North Dakota Medical Association will provide an exclusive webinar for their members regarding how to appeal insurance claim denials.\nThe presentation by Domna Antoniadis, Senior Attorney, LegalHealth (bio below), will provide information regarding how health care providers can appeal insurance claim denials. The live webinar will include timelines for such appeals and the various levels of internal and external appeal. It will include the types of decisions subject to appeal rights and suggestions on ways to incorporate insurance advocacy into administrative protocols. Shareable training slides and a handout of quick facts will be provided to attendees.\nSPEAKERS: \nDomna Antoniadis\nFor over 10 years, Domna Antoniadis has been an attorney with LegalHealth, the nation’s largest medical-legal partnership. She worked extensively with providers and patients to address health harming legal needs, with a focus on navigating barriers related to health benefits. In 2020, she was named a 2020 NYC 40 Under 40 Rising Star by City & State. She is currently pursuing a Masters in Public Health at Yale University in order to integrate her direct service experience with public health research. In April 2023, she co-founded the “Access to Care Project” at the International Federation of Eating Disorder Dietitians. The “ Access to Care Project” aims to educate individuals on their rights to challenge health plan denials. Its mission is also to empower self advocacy and coordinate for systemic change.\n \n\n\n\n\n\n \n\n \n\n\n\n\n\n
