HSIsolutions Business Linx conducts the Physician Peer Review Program for medical providers in North Dakota. Peer Review is a system by which a physician reviews the medical care provided by other physicians to assess the quality of health care delivered and determine whether accepted standards of care have been met.
All Critical Access Hospitals (CAH) must, as part of their quality assurance program, have an arrangement with an outside entity to review the appropriateness of the diagnoses and treatment by each MD or DO providing services to the CAH’s patients. This requirement includes MDs and DOs providing telemedicine services from a distant-site hospital or distant-site telemedicine entity.
