Peer Review

Peer Review

HSIsolutions Business Linx conducts the Physician Peer Review Program for medical providers in North Dakota. Peer Review is a system by which a physician reviews the medical care provided by other physicians in order to assess the quality of health care delivered to determine whether accepted standards of care have been met.

All Critical Access Hospitals (CAH) must, as part of their quality assurance program, have an arrangement with an outside entity to review the appropriateness of the diagnosis and treatment provided by each MD/DO providing services to the CAH’s patients. This includes MDs and DOs providing telemedicine services to the CAH’s patients from a distant-site hospital or distant-site telemedicine entity.
