OSHA Hospital First Receiver Course
This training is limited to 30 participants. This is a FREE training opportunity for North Dakota hospitals.
Location addresses provided within registration link.
The program will begin promptly at 9:00 am central time, and end at 5:00 pm. Registration will open at 8:30 a.m. The program will consist of didactic presentations in the morning, and part of the afternoon. Then hands-on practical sessions with various types of respirators and PPE supplies will take place for the remainder of the day. The program will focus mainly on chemical response but will also include information on biological/infectious response.
In an effort to make the learning event as streamlined and effective as possible, you will need to bring an electronic device (laptop, notebook) to view the course curriculum information as the trainers go through the course. No manuals will be handed out. Materials will be on a USB flash drive so your device will need that capability. The USB flash drive is yours to keep.
Some of the content does not run well on a Mac/Apple device. Chrome as a browser is needed for some of the programs. Do Not plan on using your phone – much of the content will not appear on the screen when using a cell phone.
If possible, please bring the following PPE from your facility for you to use during the course. Additional PPE will be available for you to use during the program but will also be used by other participants and will need to be cleaned after each use.
- Green hood chemical PAPR unit (blower, battery, hose, etc.)
- White hood Versa Flo PAPR unit (blower, battery, hose, etc.)
- Boots or booties
- Silver Tyvek chemical suit
